L’appartamento in oggetto è una delle 4 “ville urbane sospese” angolari pensate dai BBPR come residenze duplex di particolare pregio affacciate sulla città. La distribuzione, rimasta ad oggi inalterata, presenta uno spazio raccolto intorno a un suggestivo grande soggiorno a doppia altezza intorno al quale si articolano le altre funzioni. Sono state proposte due ipotesi progettuali, entrambe rispettose della natura intrinseca di questi spazi: un recupero almeno parziale dell’esistente con funzione anche di testimonianza, oppure un rifacimento complessivo con materiali rivisitati in ottica contemporanea anche per incontrare maggiormente il gradimento del pubblico. Il progetto di arredo persegue la volontà di accentuare il senso di villa sospesa con un’atmosfera calda e accogliente in cui il colore riporta a una scala più umana lo spazio molto grande e alto del soggiorno.
The site project is one of the four “suspended urban villas”, designed by BBPR, high value duplex residences overlooking the city. The internal distribution of space, which has remained unchanged till today, is composed of a large and cosy double-height living room around which the other functions are distributed. Two design hypotheses have been proposed, both respecting the intrinsic nature of these spaces: a partial rehabilitation of the existing character as testimony or a total renovation with materials revisited in a contemporary perspective also to better match the requests of the public. The furnishing project pursues the desire to accentuate the sense of a suspended villa with a warm and welcoming atmosphere in which colour brings the very large and high space of the living room to a more human scale.
