SICURODROMO is the name given to a game aimed at educating children to car safety and originated from the conviction that it is important to promote a correct and ‘virtuous’ behaviour to them and their families . INAIL continued their collaboration with Muba in this, following the big success of Sicuropoli, and carried on with the choice to communicate with the kids in a playful and innovative way. Also SICURODROMO utilized the teaching method, coming from direct experience, of play and the involvement of all the family to give to both adults and children a common experience. The design of the set-up made SICURODROMO into a pit-stop, a tenso-structure with metal uprights and cover in printed pvc which both defined and characterized the play area. Under the cover a car is waiting for the kids who jump aboard and, with help of an animator, make a quick and fun check of the safety procedures adopted. They had to identify correct and incorrect actions on a panel that showed roads and motorways in various conditions and they discovered which safety equipment and which approach is best for a winter trip, or a summer trip, and so on. The game continued also after the pit-stop. On shelves specially set up they found objects and equipment for safety on board and the kids could experiment with how they all work. The Sicurodromo graphics were designed for both promotional and instructive use. The Sicurodromo game was memorable for the kids: with the help of their parents or teachers they could extend their knowledge of safety in the home and in the school, via an information kit given to them.
