Per la Giornata Mondiale dedicata all’Ambiente il Comune di Milano ha voluto regalare ai bambini il suo “Comune” nel senso stretto della parola: Palazzo Marino è diventato un giardino sostenibile per fornire una giornata di sensibilizzazione ed educazione ambientale. A questo proposito è stato proposto un grande gioco dell’oca e un orto urbano per il gioco di grandi e piccini. Per ben 3 giorni, il 4, 5 e 6 giugno 2009 si è animato dell’intera popolazione cittadina che ha partecipato attivamente alla giornata attraverso questo momento di gioco. 32 caselle in mdf rivestite di grafica calpestabile, appoggiate su un prato verde, indicavano alternativamente azioni di carattere ambientale positive e negative. Un grande albero detto “delle promesse” segnava la fine del gioco, ogni bambino era invitato ad appendere un pensiero indicando una buona azione per l’ambiente.
For ‘Earth Day’, the day that each year is dedicated to the environment, the Municipality of Milan wished to give a gift to the children of the city, in the strictest sense of the word. Palazzo Marino (seat of the Mayor) became a sustainable garden to provide a day of environmental awareness and education. A huge game of snakes and ladders was designed in an urban garden in which there were games for both adults and children. For a good 3 days, the 4th, 5th and 6th of June 2009, the city inhabitants who attended were enlivened by the games. 32 game tiles in mdf, with graphics resistant to being stood on, were placed on a green lawn, indicating alternatively positive and negative environmental actions. A large tree called ‘The Promise Tree’ signalled the end of the game; each child was invited to hang up a thought on a good action for the environment.
